Microswitch - An Overview
In addition, microswings are used in many wiring environments. For example, a microswitch can be used to control the wire temperature of a device or wire to a microswitch will turn off the device. They can also be used to select an output voltage and current level for the purpose of controlling or monitoring the operation of an appliance.

A microswitch is a tiny snap-action electronic switch, often called mini switch or simply a microswitch, is a switch which actuated by almost no physical pressure, via the application of a tilting, turning or pushing mechanism. In its most basic form microswitches are made using a push button, but can be built with various other types of mechanical action. Microswitches can be used in applications where there is a need for a very small amount of movement such as when connecting electrical wires to terminals, or controlling various electrical items such as TV and VCR units. Because microswitches are so tiny, it is possible to use them in a very narrow range of motion. This means they can be used in applications where you would not otherwise be able to use regular switches.

Microswitch actuators consist of two pieces, the base which connects to the electrical contacts and the top which connect to the میکروسوئیچ. The base is typically made of rubber or plastic and can be designed to incorporate different types of mechanical actuators such as springs or counterweighting mechanisms. A number of companies produce micro switches that can be integrated into a number of different designs.

One of the most popular uses for micro switches is where they are used to activate a motion sensor. A flat spring will detect any motion and trigger a microswitch which activates a series of electrical contacts, activating a light or other type of output. For example, in a car with an automatic seatbelts system may use micro switches which activate a series of flat springs that lift the car seatbelt if the car seatbelt becomes loose. Such systems can also use micro switches to detect an inoperative brake system and engage the brakes on the vehicle, applying enough downward force to stop the car in an emergency.

Another popular application for these micro-switches is in the military field. Engineers use micro switch actuators to activate a firing pin in a M.R.I.S. system. This allows military troops to use M.R.I.S. systems to synchronize the firing of small arms by remote control from a nearby location.

In the home, the most common use for a micro switch is in a mini flash ignition switch. Such a device may be installed in keyless entry locks or in telephone sets where in there is no external electrical contacts accessible for activating the device. These are particularly useful in cars that have Deadbolt locking devices and do not have the electrical contacts accessible for activating the device.

Microswitch actuators are also commonly used as a pressure activated Close-llular Locks (CLLS). The CLLS are generally used in automobiles where a deadbolt is present but it requires an additional key to access the automobile. The micro actuator forces a downward force on the lock when the two electrical contacts are pressed together. This forces the lock into a mode where the deadbolt is no longer effective and the user can gain access into the automobile. There are many companies that manufacture Pressure activated Close-llular Locks. Some of these are Electric lock products and some are Microswitch products.
