The Ministry of Interior Qatar and Tourism Authority of Qatar announced that visitors from Algeria and Morocco can avail the benefit of having visa-on-arrival in Qatar when they meet the conditions as mentioned below:
They must possess valid residence permits/visas issued by the USA, the United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, the Schengen countries, or the GCC countries.
The new system is set to be introduced on September 15th, 2017. It is aimed at allowing all eligible visitors from these two countries to get Travel Authorization (Electronic). For this, they are required to file an online application 48 hours before they intend to travel to Qatar.
Applicants must provide proof of accommodation or a hotel booking and also the details regarding their return/onward journey. A copy of their passport having six months validity is also needed.
