An electric motor known as a Brushless DC Motors (BLDC) is one that is powered by a direct current voltage source and commutated electronically as opposed to using brushes like typical Brushless DC Motors do.
Industrial positioning and actuation applications use brushless motors. To position a component for assembly or a tool for a manufacturing operation, such as welding or painting, assembly robots use brushless stepper or servo motors. Linear actuators can also be driven by brushless motors.
