I used fabric to match my curtains, instead of using paper. I attached a circle with spray adhesive after cutting it with pinking shears.

Water resistant paint can be used to paint the mason jar lid. If you want to remove the rust from the mason jar lid and ring, use steel wools.

More acidic soaps will degrade rubber and plastic parts. Most inexpensive soaps fall into the acidic category and will eventually cause valve failure.
