Quality inspection of ACSR aluminum conductor steel reinforced
The quality of ACSR CONDUCTOR is very important for the safe operation of power grid, especially the power grid across the line. In the manufacturing process of aluminum conductor steel reinforced, if its load-bearing steel core has strand breaking and other defects, wire breaking accidents will occur under the action of various stresses during operation, which will seriously affect or even endanger the safety of power grid. The standard ASTM B 232/B 232M CSA C49 also clearly stipulates that aluminum conductor steel reinforced is not allowed to have serious damage caused by steel cored strand breaking.
The common methods for defect detection in the installation process of high-voltage transmission line include manual visual inspection, aerial survey, infrared thermal imaging detection, eddy current detection and so on.
● when the manual visual inspection method is adopted, defects can be found only when the aluminum wire has been completely broken or even the broken end is tilted;
● when aerial survey method is adopted, due to the limitation of photography and the need for visual inspection of the final image, the detection speed is very slow and the accuracy is not high;
● when the infrared thermal imaging detection method is adopted, due to the need to detect the temperature field distribution on the surface of the tested object, the detection sensitivity has a great correlation with the ambient temperature, and the method can only be detected when the transmission line is charged, so it is difficult to realize the infrared thermal imaging detection during the installation of the transmission line;
● when eddy current testing is used to test high-voltage transmission lines, it is only suitable for testing aluminum strand wires outside the steel core because of its insufficient eddy current penetration depth.
