I along with my family visited Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh recently. We had a great time there, exploring the beauty of the City of Gods, Varanasi. Varanasi is also known as Banaras or Kashi. If you have a modest budget then it is better to book a budget holiday guest house in advance of your visit.

There are 64 Ghats along the river Ganga. I saw mutts from different parts of India in each Ghat. As we are South India, we stayed at Hanuman Ghat. The interesting thing I noticed here is those who are coming to perform rituals also need comforts they are used to at home. And also saw priests rebuilding their homes, adding rooms with AC and added amenities for guests, who can stay there in comfort, and perform all their rites and rituals in peace.
