Advantages Of Flux Corded Arc Welding:

· The deposition process of flux corded arc welding is fast, especially since the gas-shielded wires can deposit welds in seconds. The thickness of the weld is automatically controlled by the weld deposit's constant voltage and plastic flow.
· With the help of flux corded arc welding, workers can work with difficult joints, including structural steel plate shapes and vertical penetration in bulkheads. Achieving this take would have been impossible if used other welding processes.
· The diameter of the electrode ensures that the weld bead is even and uniform.
· The total cost of the flux corded Co2 welding is slightly lower than that of solid wire Co2 protection welding.
Disadvantages of the FCAW method:
• Not recommended for very fine materials.
• Precise adjustment on the machine is required, as a slight change in position can cause large defects in the weld.
• The position of the welding gun and the precision of the movement do not allow much room for maneuver since the correct angle and a constant speed is needed to produce a good quality weld.
