Parents often agonise over choosing child care centres, not wanting to make a mistake for their beloved child. We get this! Sending a child to a daycare centre is hard, especially for a first-time parent. They don't particularly want to be separated from their child, they don't particularly want to put the child in a new environment, and they have certain stresses. Well, we can tell you how to choose the right child care centre, and how to do it with as little stress as possible.
Five things to look for in a child care centre
When you look for daycare centres, prioritise the following five points:-
1. Safety and security.
2. Love and nurturing
3. Health and hygiene
4. Stimulation, education, art and creativity.
5. Convenience
You obviously want a daycare centre to be safe for your child. That is the most important thing. But you also need it to be loving and nurturing. You want your child to grow in confidence and self-esteem. Then, and this goes with safety, the centre must by hygiene and a healthy environment for your child. This means healthy, both physically and emotionally. Teachers should be GREAT. They should be well qualified and know how to stimulate your child, how to give your child a love for learning, for words, for books, for songs and for art. And then for you, and for your child, the child care centre must be convenient. Find one close to home, or close to your work, and preferably where you will meet people just like you too.
