Construction Takeoff Estimating Services provides a variety of estimating products and services to meet the needs of any construction company. These products and services include construction estimating software, price quoting systems, cost allocation calculators and various other tools to meet all of a client's project estimations and projections. The estimating process is broken down into three phases to insure a project's cost is analyzed correctly; Planning/ forecasting, pricing and scheduling/ order completion. The software is designed to meet all clients' requirements in the most efficient and accurate way possible, utilizing the latest estimating technologies.

What is the first step in developing a project scope management plan?

The first phase of estimating is Planning/ forecasting, which involves determining the scope of the project, establishing priorities and determining a plan of action. As the scope of the project changes, costing changes accordingly. This can be a very time-consuming and frustrating process, and in some cases, costing is conducted entirely by the client using Estimator tools. Often, Estimators are used exclusively in this phase of the estimating process. Once the Planning phase is complete, the second phase of the estimating process begins- Pricing. Pricing is based on the estimated costs of materials and labor and can be adjusted as necessary, depending on the client's budget.

Phase Three is often called "processing" or "completing", since it is the actual implementation of the design, as well as the delivery date. In this phase, the project is often referred to as "build-to-stock" inventory. Some estimating companies offer a build-to-stock system, where all of the necessary parts and materials are ready for use once the design has been finalized and the construction begun. Other estimating companies make available the parts and materials at a later time, after the project is underway.

What costing information is needed for quote pricing?

In most cases, an Estimator will provide a price quote in phases. This price quote will include the price of materials, transportation, labor, and delivery. To prepare an accurate estimate, all three stages must be assessed, and adjustments made where appropriate.


Once an Estimator provides an estimate in the initial stages, an accurate Cost estimator company can be made. A proper Cost determination involves the determination of one or more factors, such as: the price per square foot (PCF), the price per load (PCL), and/or the price per meter foot. The PCF is a single price measurement that takes both height and width into consideration. The PCL is a combination of both width and height; it is used to determine the cost of the project. Lastly, the estimate will include the elevator shaft length. While the Construction Takeoff Estimator uses multiple measurements to calculate estimates, the Estimator will use only the most significant measurements.
