Shun Hendrix accused of Sexual Assault, Intimidation and Stalking by founder of the Radical Coalition of Survivors, Shanbrae McFarland-Uwaifo, who also spoke out against Georgia State University over their lack of resources and protection.

Local Atlanta (and former member of T.I Grand Hustle Gang) “Shun Hendrix" has been accused of Sexual Assault, Intimidation and Stalking by the founder of the Radical Coalition of Survivors, Shanbrae McFarland Uwaifo, who was attending Georgia State University when she was assaulted.

In 2020, Shanbrae McFarland Uwaifo briefly detailed her experience over a series of tweets and also called out Georgia State University for not providing adequate resources, leading to the formation of the "Radical Coalition of Survivors" as a safe space for survivors of sexual assault.

Shanbrae McFarland Uwaifo publicly accused "Shun Hendrix" of allegedly assaulting her during his birthday party in October 2017, while she was intoxicated and barely alert in the basement of his home. The founder also detailed that upon her return to campus that same night, she did not receive aid, but instead was cited for “public intoxication”, rather than assisted regarding an alleged assault. Following that traumatic night, she also tweeted that her attacker showed up at her doom room unannounced and went as far as enrolling into her institution to make matters worse and contribute to her feeling as if she could not escape this individual.
 
The Radical Coalition of Survivors formed shortly after the founder, Shanbrae McFarland Uwaifo, came forward on Twitter with allegations against the singer, in which she subsequently faced harassment from the accused and his small group of supporters. The formed coalition of survivors decided to take matters into their own hands by sending a letter to the institution addressing the lack of protection and resources and provided the institution with a list of demands to be met, including a list of abusers that were demanded immediately expulsion.

As of today in 2022, Georgia State University has yet to provide a safe space for survivors and has been accused of allowing alleged predators to remain enrolled in the institution. Some twitter users sparked a debate and responded with questions or comments about the situation as follows: Who will protect young women who come forward and name their attackers? Why do women have to fear for their lives to the extent that they either back down, retract or change their story to satisfy their attackers? Do members of the entertainment industry receive some sort of privilege over a victim who is considered to be “just a regular citizen”?

Given the recent resurface of the allegations made by the founder of the coalition against “Shun Hendrix” and the lack of protection from the institution, numerous supporters of the founder and coalition are coming forward demanding the school open and fully conduct a formal investigation. Complaints are being made directly to Georgia State University with hope of a response being issued from the institution very soon.
