Upgrades, Install
When it's time to replace your old, tired central vacuum unit with a new one and central vacuum system installation— We Can Help.
We've measured an average increase of 436% suction power when we upgrade a vacuum unit.
A new central vacuum unit is often just what's needed to improve cleaning ability, and who doesn't want more cleaning power?
A Dusty Day in West port
This vacuum unit was blowing massive amounts of dust into the utility room creating health and safety hazards. This is a common problem with vacuum units that don't use bags or filters, but "cyclonic" action as their "filter". We replaced this unit with a BEAM SC398, which will prevent this from ever happening again.
A new resident to West port called us because his housekeeper complained that the vacuumsystem was very weak. Two things were to blame for the weak suction. First, the vacuum unit was not working properly, and second, there was an air leak.
We upgraded his old Transcendentalism vacuum unit, with a new Beam® 398, and two new accessory kits. We then tracked down an air leak.
It turns out that someone had used masking tape to repair a broken vacuum pipe, essentially putting a large patch on the pipe. The masking tape had deteriorated over the years, and was leaking air like a sieve, so we cut out the damaged section of pipe and replaced it. Problem solved.
Another needle in a haystack problem in a large home in New Canaan, this time. It turns out that there was a very small access hatch in the ceiling of the master bedroom closet that was used to service steam unit in the attic. Evidently, the last service guy stepped on the central vacuum pipe, fracturing it. Two things to point out here. Firstly, it never should have been installed in such a way. It's should been installed out of harm’sway. Secondly, the guy who stepped on it and broke it should have told the homeowner, saving about 6 hours of time searching the very large estate to find the issue.
