How to Market Your Blog to Make It More Profitable How to Market Your Blog to Make It More Profitable

Now that you have applied to an affiliate marketing program and gotten some advertisements on your blog, you want to start attracting visitors to your blog to make it as profitable as possible. For your blog to be profitable, you need visitors - and to get visitors, you need to effectively market your blog. There are several ways to do this. I will go through some of them here, but you can of course come up with your own ways to spread the word about your blog.

Don't go e-mailing the link to your friends or anything like that. People will just find you annoying if you try to force it on them. Instead, just make it visible to them. People will like the blog more if it's their own choice to visit it. Post it on your Facebook wall, tweet it or use some other similar social animeplyx  . Someone will always click on them. You can write something exciting like a sample from one of the blog posts next to the URL to attract more people.

Something that always works is to register your blog to some of the many top lists that exists. Even if your blog doesn't have a high rating, it will probably still get SOME extra visitors. This way you will also get you links to your blog. The more links, the easier the site in question will be found using search engines. This is a common method for Search Engine Optimization.

You can also try to get other bloggers to link to your blog in their own blogs. News spreads fast on blogs and if the bloggers like what you are writing, you can get a quick boost to your popularity. Of course, you do not want to be selfish. You should return the favor and put some of their links in your blog as well.

All of these things are a good way to get visitors, but the most important thing is keeping them. If they like what they read they will most likely tell someone about it and you may get yet another fan.

The key to keeping the readers is quite simple. Just write interesting posts in your blog. That may be easier said than done though. A good rule of thumb is that people are probably not interested in what you had for breakfast this morning. If you have a certain theme on the blog, try to keep to it. Do not stray too much in the posts. And really, try to write grammatically correct language, it will give you credit in the long run.
