AITech Interview with Geoff Tate, Founder and CEO, Flex Logix

1. Can you give us a brief of your career before Flex Logix

Prior to founding Flex Logix, I was the founding CEO of Rambus, which I led through to an IPO with a $2 billion market cap. Prior to that I was a senior vice president for microprocessor and logic at AMD.

2. How was the initial phase of setting up Flex Logix? What does a regular day at work look like now?

Flex Logix was formed in 2014.  My co-founder Cheng Wang developed a breakthrough interconnect for use in computing chips and we saw that this technology could revolutionize reconfigurable computing. This interconnect significantly improved the performance and efficiency of reprogrammable logic technology called Field Programmable Gate Array or FPGA.

Being the CEO of a fast growing start-up is a tough job.  My typical day involves starting work early, working late and meetings throughout the day. But I usually bike 8 miles to and from work every day to get a break.
