There are two types of dialysis hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. In peritoneal dialysis the cleansing of blood along with removal of extra fluids is done by body’s natural filter, the peritoneal membrane.

Peritoneal dialysis is a process to remove waste products from the blood, such as creatinine and urea, which are insufficiently removed in case of kidney failure or improper functioning of kidneys.
