How to AT&T Email imap Settings for Outlook

Set up Outlook for AT&T Email
Go to Outlook, select File> Add Account
Here, look for “Manual setup or additional server types”
Select IMAP or POP
Enter your name (that you want to display to others)
Enter your complete AT&T email address
Now you need to complete the server information:
Account Type — Select POP3 or IMAP
Incoming Mail Server — att.net (POP3) or Enter imap.mail.att.net (IMAP)
Outgoing mail server — att.net (POP3) or Enter imap.mail.att.net (IMAP)
Next, you need to complete the login information:
Username: Email address
Password: Provide your secure mail key

Click Remember Password and Require logon using secure password authentication
Click the “More Settings” option
Provide Outgoing Server Information:
Click the “Check My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication”
Check Use same settings as my incoming mail server
Provide Advanced Information:
For Incoming Server — Enter 995 (POP3) or 993 (IMAP)
Choose SSL
For Outgoing Server, you need to enter 465 (IMAP and POP3)
Choose SSL
Click the “OK” option and then
It is now up to Outlook to verify your account information
Select “Finish” if Outlook says the given info is okay.
Set up iPhone for AT&T Email
Go to the “Settings” on your Apple device
Choose Mail, Contacts, and Calendars
Click the “Add Account” option and choose Other
Here, you must “Add Mail Account” and provide the following info:
Name: Your name
Email: AT&T email address
Password: AT&T email password
Description: Enter AT&T
Under “Incoming Mail Server”, choose IMAP and provide the following info:
Hostname:mai.att.net
Username: email
Password: email password
Under “outgoing mail server”, provide the following info:
Hostname:mail.att.net
Username: email
Password: email password
Click the “Save” option and choose your given email address
Select SMTP under Outgoing Mail Server
Select mailatt.net under Mail Server and find the following info on the screen:
SSL: SSL
Serverport: 465
You are done with this. Go to the previous screen once again and select the “Advanced” option to ensure the following info is on the screen:
SSL: SSL
Serverport: imap.mai.att.net
