Self-healing materials that have the innate potential to mend themselves have grown significantly in recent years. In the context of composites, thermally repairable materials that are based on reversible polymerization methods have been the most successful intrinsic Self-Healing Materials Market . The methods and results of recent experiments using intrinsic healing mechanisms to promote self-healing in composite materials will be covered in this part. The fact that all of the sequestration methods described above need the use of external energy, typically heat, sets apart these intrinsic mechanisms from the ones used previously. Even though the damaging event has the potential to transfer this energy, it is often used externally. Although this constraint hasn't been definitively overcome, it might not matter in actual use.
