Eligibility for NRIs to Appear in Civil Services Exam in 2021
The NRIs can appear in civil services exam held in India, given that they have eligibility for this exam. Since only citizens can participate in it, the NRIs have to surrender their foreign nationality and apply for Indian passport & nationality before the final interview. There are countless attempts as per age limits.

Making up to civil services exams is a dream that many Indians see. NRIs are no exception for it.

But, the question is “Are NRIs eligible for appearing in the civil services exam”.

The answer is “Yes”, provided that they hold civil services exam eligibility for NRIs.

It’s true that NRIs are non-residents. But originally, they are the natives who temporarily settle abroad for employment or, studying or, with their families as a dependent.

Simply put, they also hold Indian nationality and the right to appear in this exam for ensuring a prestigious designation in civil services. However, they are temporarily far away. But, it does not mean that they don’t have a right to appear. They can check their destiny and secure a job opportunity in the government sector.

NRI Population

If you check the findings of a recent survey, it clearly highlights that 31.4 million Indians are far off from their mother land temporarily for their work and education. A newspaper claimed that Nepal, Saudi Arabia, USA and Malaysia have nearly 4.1 million, 4 million, 3.5million and 2.4 million Indian immigrants.

There are many out of these who want to serve Indian society by joining administrative services in the government sector. This is why they register with the leading IAS coaching institutions to strengthen the possibility of successful attempt in this exam.
